julie is there anything else u feeling other than guilt ?

julie just said "maybe its the empathy from being a writer" and i am sorry but julie u are neither empathetic nor are u a writer, u are just annoying..

update: i love mika ;_; and i therefore hate how julie behaves and the way she treats her..

i love the characters. they are all very individual and interesting and i feel like each one of them is deep and based on a stable character basis.
BUT since this is the last book i don't really see where we're heading to? i mean yes, they still have to graduate and james has to overcome how his father is still trying to stop him from finally leaving beaufort behind, but im missing suspense here..

ig maybe it's just that julie isn't written in an emotional way, there is nothing in her character that makes the reader be able to emotionally identify or at least feel with her.. so honestly i don't enjoy reading the story up to now since it's more of a work-through through julies locked negative sentiments..

judge me if u want but i feel like u can tell this book is written by a man.. i don't want to be too stereotype-based judgemental, but imo julie lacks character depth; she is too cold and unreachable, and maybe that's what the author intended (kind of goes well with the plot at least) but that makes it hard for me to really get into the story

i have to say rn there is not much of a plot visible. the story is still really cute and i love the characters so idc too much but i could understand if someone said it would be a bit boring. can't seem to finish it at the moment.

BUT i absolutely adore the side character love story of kesh and alistair

im only on page 21 and i am already almost crying..
also i love the smell of this book
