This book is starting to get painful...

I think the best part about this is that you expect the scare, and it still gets you.

Why don't turkeys get invited to dinner parties? Because they use fowl language.
There is absolutely no reason for me to be laughing so much at some of these jokes, haha. Sure does take me back.

Came into this with the mindset that it would be okay in the scare-level since it is essentially just pictures... Boy, was I wrong. I need some time to calm down, and I am only one chapter in!

So much basketball lingo!

I found the writing a little forgettable here. For such a short book, this is moving at a pretty slow place. Some of the bits seemed unnecessary.

I think that this book very well would be good for youth/middle school students, Christian and non-Christian alike, as well as parents of these kids, and especially youth pastors. The flow is well, and the topic is something most can relate to (the feeling of not fitting in). Definitely written for the young mind, gives great insight on their thought process. Mentions suicide, focuses on the design God created for us

I need to take some time to digest what I have read just in that first chapter. I am so disturbed by the parent's actions, yet I absolutely love what I have read so far. The naivety and child like wording of what Sarah is witnessing is so realistic and strangely beautiful, oddly enough.

I can tell that this is going to be a very hard book to get through. I am only a handful of pages in, and I already have so much to say. Is it bad that the first and second page made me dislike the main character? It has been that way so far. The future does not look good for this book, nor my sanity. Send help.
