This isn't the edition I'm reading, but the right one isn't listed. I'm familiar with the case, but appreciate the focus on the victims prior to becoming victims. We get a nice snapshot of Martin Brown's character and family relationships. Sereny so far seems to deal with the subject respectfully and sensitively and without oversensationalising.

Obsessed with cults/high influence groups, and really enjoying this. Actually started it a while ago, it's full of post it notes, but I managed to misplace it for a while amongst my many piles of books. Glad I picked it back up, again.

Fully invested. The post-chocolate mousse scene is awful. Guy, WTF is wrong with you?!

Started reading this, then misplaced it amongst my many TBR piles. Picked it up again but I’m not hooked.

The Hive was too big a tome to take to work with me, so I ended up deciding to take this with me so I have something to read on my breaks. I love Jackson's brand of darkness. She sets things up, then pulls the rug out from under you.
