Adesso, ho appena iniziato il fumetto. Penso che l’apertura che introduce Jack Lo Squartatore e molto buona, sono molto curioso di vedere cosa succederà dopo.

Pretty fun. Going to have to keep reading until the rain stops. Feels a lot like an italian Sherlock, only if he was a major flirt and lived in a world where supernatural creatures existed. Up my alley. Groucho feels less like a Watson or Batman’s Alfred and more like a Kronk or Lumiere, if they were a bit more kooky.

Reading this in italian was actually easier than expected. I have learned some new phrases, notably “rompiscatole personale” (personal pain in the ass) and “folle” (brute). Can add this to my dictionary of swear words.

Trying to work on my Chinese by reading/listening to podcasts, relearning hsk 5, and watching some films. My goal is to get fluent enough to read simple novels and hold a decent conversation with someone without having to stop and think every six words. Grammar in this book is ok, but there’s a bit more jargon than expected. Learned the word for ‘car frame’, ‘driver’s license’ and ‘ID card’ today.

Holy shit Patrick Bateman is such a disgusting human being. I was at the part when he murders someone and their dog in class and i am gagging yuck yuck ew. But he is also so funny. And now he’s going on a tangent about Phil collins, and he called Earth, Wind, and Fire ‘some band’ lol. Really good character study. I feel nauseous the more i read but am so hooked.

This makes more sense after i read a bit more about psycho politics and the scent of time. I felt it was a bit odd that the whole ritual thing, though i agree that it helps ground time, i didnt like that it was just a given. Just kinda feel like he skirts around examples of it. Glad my prof recommended me this book, will definitely be exploring more of his work in the future. Hope i get an A on this assignment.

not even finished with the book and i've bought Chiang's 2nd book and listened to two podcast episodes w him. I'm absolutely hooked. this man speaks like the way he writes. i usually don't often read sci-fi but tbh I should start to i've been missing out on such good stories, will do after mock exams

started reading this after watching the James Webb telescope launch. i'm filled with so much love and awe for the universe. wowie are we small.
