i find myself continually asking what's going on but not in a reading faulkner or woolf way, more in like a i-just-started-paying-attention-to-the-weird-show-my-mom's-watching way

starting to think that the editor watched dfw slap down a 1100 page manuscript on his desk, stared at it wide eyed, and then proceeded to not read a single word of it
