We are constantly being told how witty Hyacinth is but so far she is just annoying or plain.

Spends half the book executing the perfect murder then when she hits the first hurdle, it implodes. Come on! Just find a way to explain those headphones... That must make more sense than losing what is a solid plan because of a strange details that does not amount to more. Disappointing twist.
