Re read. Love this series and really fancied picking it up again. It's been years!

Trying to feel optimistic about this one..

I absolutely love Ken Follet. I get so sucked into his books and find it almost impossible to tear myself away. Such detail, I literally feel everytime I read his books, particularly the medieval ones, I'm in the place he describes and I forget I'm just on my sofa reading about an imaginary world from the comfort of my own home. He's the only author that I feel I get truly lost in the books of. Amazes me everytime.

I really enjoyed the first bit. The second bit not so much.
