Starts off well with a character who doesn’t recall his past, but is slowly finding out who he is.

Wow! It just got dark and exciting (in a strange way)!

Enjoying the characters.

Not fair for me to review as I've been reading it on and off due to what's been going on in my life, but certainly not the book! I'm enjoying when I get a chance to read a couple chapters.

So far, so good !

A fun read. Not funny necessarily, but fun.

The first chapter gets the action going and it barely stops for at least 70 pages.

Now this one feels like a Bond book! Takes place in 1957, and half way through, Bond has gotten himself out of a bunch of trouble so far. Not that it'll stop him from getting into more!

I was a bit worried, when I realized that all the main characters were drawn from other famous books, that it was going to be too much. But I'm happy to say, that so far anyway, the author has kept a steady hand and explained their meeting and teaming up, very well and naturally. It's a good read so far.

I'm a bit shocked that a few of the stories I read don't seem to have been either science fiction OR fantasy. Thank goodness the Phyllis Eisenstein novella was! Hope it gets better or I may have to rethink my subscription.

Retief is such a fun character! The stories just get better with time!
