interesting premise so far—i wanna go out on a limb from the limited information we’ve gotten and say that the headmaster probably has something to do with these shadows… i don’t trust him

this is undeniably one of the most beautiful books that i own, and i am literally BEGGING for the story to be just as good as the cover design.

one of the only characters i kind of liked died so now i’m just sitting here like…. 👁️ 👄 👁️

on the bright side i should be finishing this tonight so i can fiiiinally beat this slump and move on to something new

pros: good cast of characters (in terms of the girls competing). queen is probably the most compelling character.

cons: feels almost too fast paced, feels like many important scenes are grazed over, and her jealousy over emmett feels rushed

swear to god my least favorite publishing trend right now is the whole "naming books after their trope" thing because girl... what happened to creativity

something feels off but i cant tell if its the story itself, pacing, or writing choices and its driving me crazy

downloading an epub even tho i have the physical book so i can still read with the lights off.... maybe i am smart
