You did not just give me an almost spicy scene just to have her vow to celibacy 😭💀

so far this one has had my attention from the get-go, only 11% in but it’s done so well with action from the opening scene while still explaining the world building and the politics and the magic system without feeling like it’s being shoved down my throat in one big info dump and I’m loving it

I think I’m liking it so far but this writing feels more like adult fantasy than YA, the writing is good don’t get me wrong, just not what I expected

I like the book so far but I just got the most intense info dump about the politics and world building and there is no way I processed any of that

Absolutely love the pacing of this book, everyone has some secret and I need to know everything

This is reminding me so much of the 5th Wave series, given I don’t read a lot of sci-fi/dystopian, but it’s making me feel so nostalgic
