I really love looking at characters like Hollix and Arex and seeing who they were before. I know them Lost Souls and Eternal Dreams, and life has already delivered them an unbelievable amount of soul crushing shit. Seeing who they were before that. It adds depth and understanding to who they are.

Stepping away from the person your parents have raised you to be and trying to become your own person is hard. And though the stakes are a little higher in this series than irl….its still relatable.

Things just keep getting more and more melancholic. I don’t think I am going to be the same person on the other side of this novel.

Hey so this book is sad!

It’s so interesting getting attached to these characters at their rich kid school, knowing that the main story deals heavily with classism. But like…I can’t help it. I love them, their problems are relatable at an emotional level. It’s like watching gossip girl, these are not my people irl but I can’t help but root for them and feel for them.
