I seem to be stuck here. I was enjoying the story but had stop reading to finish writing a paper and I never picked it up again.
The excuse should be that I have to study for my exams but somehow I have read and finished several books since I started this one.
Not a good sign.

I've been waiting and hoping this book will be the one to bring this series back on course.. Fingers crossed

I love how realistic this double gay-for-you is. No sudden 'this feels right' and next everything goes smoothly.

Loving the story so far but the MC's calling each other young man, kid and kiddo when they are the same age is ruining a lot of it for me..

One of THE most underhyped series out there in my opinion. Such a complex and well developed story full of political intrigue, humor, suspense, military machinations.. deserves so much more!
At times the scope of the many people with their own perspectives and motivations, and the twists and turns have reminded me of an M/M Game of Thrones

Rereading this book I knew what was coming... didn't stop me from crying again and again

I liked the first book but things went downhill in the second. Let's hope it picks up again...

And here it is again: "PUBLISHER'S NOTE: This book contains explicit homoerotic sex that some readers may find offensive." I hate that line. Offensive? Is that really necessary? The first part of that sentence should be enough IMO...

This is book 9, so much has happened, and it's only been 10 months?? I know this is paranormal but that's not even a little bit realistic.

A sexual abuse victim who isn't miraculously 'cured' when meeting the other MC: thank you for that!
This isn't the first abuse story I have read but it is definitely one of the best when it comes to being handled realistically.

Aaaaand I remember why I gave this book only 2 stars: not because it is bad per se, but because it is unbelievably frustrating!
