Omg this book is AO BORING

I’m three pages in and this feels weirdly misogynistic? Wrens not like other girls? She’s a logic girl, not a cool girl…. I hope this is purposeful

I’m really disappointed…. I was hoping to live jones. But his writing is so frantic and chopped and doesn’t make sense

The babysitter lives- super annoying… the house within a house was so confusing that I was getting bored…. Which is a shame because the ending seemed interesting! But I didn’t understand a lick of what was happening. And too many things felt like a chaotic fever dream. 2/5

My guess: Lucy is Jess’s daughter from Mr. Hennesy
Jess is baby hope and her parents are the Wilson’s. Eliza and Mary survived the boat crash- and either they ARE actually sirens or they have the flake skin condition too. And they’re the grand mothers of Lucy and Jess.

Why is Jane swearing at the other girls all of a sudden? Also, why the all of a sudden F bombs being dropped, this is a weird tone shift

Why is there a whole two paragraphs about demon penis?

I knew it was YA going into it, but I didn’t know it was YOUNG YA…. I’m interested in the story, but I CANNOT with how thirsty this girls are. Is that what young people want? Talking about the cute boys incessantly?
