I know that I should like this book- the time period interests me and the writing is very goid, but I just can't get into it. I'm finding it a slow read with a slow plot. I think I'll take a break and try something else for awhile.

So far I am notsure enjoying this book. The sescriptions of Brown and Providence are good, but I don't care about the characters and the pmot is slow.
