yeah this book is fun and all but the portrayal of women is … a sign of its time i suppose which is not unexpected but still annoying every time

highlights: narziß calling himself woke, sun and moon coding him and goldmund and then getting told off by his superior for essentially therapizing goldmund so hard he passed out. nobody is doing it like him.

two thoughts:

1) having your main character be called goldmund amongst others that all have names like konrad or daniel has the same energy as pink-haired anime protagonists in worlds where everyone else has normal hair colors.

2) these two seem to be very… close.
