I was very weary to open this book because hardcore Game of Thrones fantasy with war and blood and magic (Witcher-kind) isn’t my thing. But there was something very alluring of the Prologue—of an assassin in a castle during a party. It just gave me Medieval vibes and although those times were dangerous (poisonings & beheadings and all), I think I’m starting to understand those LARP nerds! ⚔️🏰

It's extremely gripping, exciting, and magical! Agatha and Tedros have now disguised themselves as the opposite genders by drinking Merlin's potion so that the Storian cannot identify their whereabouts. Now Agatha must go to the School for Old Evil to find Excalibur to destroy Sophie's ring while Tedros has to convince Sophie to leave with him at the School for New Evil all by midnight!

Sadie & Carter have discovered a theoretical alternative to defeating Apophis — by using his sheut (shadow). Will it work? Can they destroy his shadow? Carter is at Thoth’s pyramid to find out while Sadie is off to the First Nome. We’ll see how it goes from here. 🔥

So far reading the first anecdote “Calamity Juice” by Carlos Hernandez is going okay since there are completely new concepts and knowledge from his related books with these characters.

What’s cool is that it got straight to the point and the crazy plot with their supernatural powers. And the thing that is strongly helping me is looking at the pictures of the characters on the website “Read Riordan.”
