Actually a really nice book. I’d recommend it to everyone. It deals with heavy subjects like eating disorders in an explicit way, which can be triggering though. But Jennette is a good writer. I hope she starts ghostwriting other people’s biographies.

This is a yassified version of Un homme qui dort and I live for that.

I actually loved this book, especially the testimonials. The sections about AIDS were sometimes a bit outdated, sometimes outright heartbreaking to read. The writer mostly quotes research done in the 70s so needless to say that some of the ideas that this book takes to be true have since been debunked. Overall I recommend it as a fun time document that provides a nice view on some of the ways a gay couple can love.

Een jaar en een week over gedaan, omdat het echt veel hetzelfde is en de columns zijn echt hit or miss! Sommige columns zijn de beste stukken proza, vanuit de meest interessante invalshoeken die ik ooit heb gelezen, maar veel columns zijn voorspelbare kritiek, moeilijker verwoord dan zou moeten.
