Lots of fun!

Gosh, I simply couldn’t finish even the first volume! Although I loved learning about the mores of the time, the story is essentially a romance novel with not enough else to hold my attention. I have the e-book so maybe I’ll circle back to It when I’m more inclined. Disappointing as I was really looking forward to reading the trilogy.

Whoo! This is a trudge! I'm doing some preparatory reading for an upcoming tirp to Iceland, but I just don't think that I'll be able to get through this. It's not a diss on the book: I think it's more of a miss: not the kind of book I need. Ah well...it happens.

Not as intriguing as I had anticipated. But I'll finish it and see what I think then.

Didn't finish it. For me, it would have been better if the author had written a shorter novel based on his experiences. I tired of the constant mind games between him and the magician.

Currently reading Michael jecks' "The Templar, the Queen, and her Lover," a Knights Templar mystery. Pretty good...not his best.
