Why is her notebook suddenly ridiculously sentimental and not an incredibly important record of everything about the Villain’s business?

Why would one need a party for tea? Don’t you just drink it?

There are some big plot holes in the traitor reveal moment—no one outside of Manor knows what the Villain looks like, so how did someone see Evie with the Villain?

The narrator is not great.
The story feels slow, despite all the action.
I like Evie, and many of the side characters and even the Villain, so am hoping to finish this book despite frequently cringing at the writing style.

Michael York is a phenomenal narrator
