Anthony Lanh is on page 90 of 366 of The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
A nice reprieve has turned into an escape, will have to put down this book promptly to return to catch 22, but the fun of the Hobbit is hard to leave

Needed a break from Catch-22, the Hobbit has provided that for sure. The humor and story have been fun and lighthearted

For the most part, has been ok. The style and content of the poetry make sense and is owed respect, but I tend to prefer poetry that emphasizes word play and metaphors. The second chapter of the book has been good though

Long, dense. Painful. Not a book I'd pick up for fun, but very informational.

Reached a point in life where I feel comfortable downsizing my list of hobbies and that includes shortening my "currently-reading" list so I can prioritize certain books. Gonna start enforcing a rule of only reading 2 non-school books at a time.

Anthony Lanh is on page 40 of 127 of The Prophet
I swear I'm gonna get one of these books done before starting a new one :)

So far the Prophet has been great! Love that the book consists of multiple different preaches strung together. I didn't agree with some of the speeches, but there are some great passages in it, specifically on page 19 and 30

The exposition is heavy handed, but the story itself seems interesting!

The professionalism section was especially good for me. I think a major clashes of my personality have been the desire to help others, attempting to have a therapist-like connect with the person while trying to maintain a friendship with them. Such is futile because the the power dynamics, reciprocity, and obligations are quickly in conflict.

Only a few pages in and I've already shed a few tears. The living condition of children and families in poverty is disgusting...

The most difficult part of any psychology manual is the first few pages where the authors have to explain why we must remain so passionate about the subject.

The way she strings together words is buttery smooth. She's truly the science fiction writer goat
