not going to lie the last 75 pages were a bit underwhelming. however the epilogue did get me excited for the next book. overall i really enjoyed this world and storyline. the main female character did get on my nerves a bit but besides that she was fine. I’m sad I have to wait a couple months for the next book to come out but I would give this four stars.

i’m enjoying this so far

i don’t know what i just read. i was so bored until the last 10% of the book, and even then the ending felt extremely rushed and not really cohesive. the plot was all over the place. in my opinion, the characters aren’t that interesting anymore. i’m more interested in the dragons + animals. the only reason i’m continuing this is because i want to know what happens with the magic part of this world. 1.5 stars

the writing style in this book makes my head hurt and i’m kind of bored

this book is genuinely fourth wing but on crack. the writing in this kills me. i probably cringed like 50 times. however, even though the writing was not great, im lowkey eating up the characters 😛. the ending actually made me physically cringe. theres one death in this book that actually makes me so sad it also makes me mad. even though this book was chaos, i fear i will be reading the next one. 3 stars.

this is my favorite read of 2026 so far. this ending almost made me want to throw the book across the room… but in a good way. the overall concept of this plot and how unique it is i think is why i love it so much. it was a bit slow at the beginning and at some points i also didn’t fully understand what was going on. however, i think the characters, the world, and the plot are enough reasons for 5 stars.

ONTO ACT THREE. stages 7, 9, and 10 of intermission were PEAK writing. 10/10. no notes. i’ve said this like three times already but this book is so good. i’m liking the main girl way more right now and this plot is getting #juicy.

the writing in this is KILLING me

onto act II!! the world building and plot in this book is sooo interesting and unique so far. i def get the caraval vibes that others have mentioned. one thing tho is that the main girl is kind of #annoying at points but she’s been bearable so far.

i’ve read a couple of books by this author… and i feel like the endings are all honestly the same 🫩 the first half of this book was pretty slow and boring. it starting picking up in the second half and i was getting invested but the ending didn’t do much for me. i give this 2.5 stars.

only 28 pages in and the writing is killing me a bit

oh my god WHAT WAS THAT ENDING. i had a tiny feeling the author was going to end it this way but i also wanted to be in #denial. THAT ENDING ACTUALLY MADE ME SO MAD BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY IT ENDED LIKE THAT. anyways i fear that this one was not as good as the first one because i was a bit bored for the first half of the novel but i would still give this 4.25 stars.

chapters 39 and 42 😛😛

let me just say, chapters 30 - 32 was EXACTLY what i was hoping for. peak writing. 5 stars. the first half of this book was a bit slow to me but once chapter 30 started, i was SAT. i am a bit scared tho for the last 150 pages because ALOT can go wrong🫪😵‍💫😬😖

this book is starting a bit slower than the previous one but i am eating up the angst which is making up for the slowness

ok this general ending as a whole was lowkey predictable but i still #devoured it. the cliffhanger did get me tho. this is the first almost 5 star read i have had in a while so props to the author. i love the characters and i just think the overall plot and world in this series is really good. i give this 4.75 stars.
