i fear this book will be hard for me to get through

so i didn’t love this book but i also didn’t hate it. honestly yeah idk what else to say❤️ i give this 3 stars

i saw the movie trailer for this and got intrigued so now i’m reading it. i have seen mixed reviews about this book so this will be interesting. it hasn’t been bad so far but it’s also nothing extravagant

i LOVED this book. 10/10. although there were some parts were i was a bit bored/confused, the concept of the plot and the characters were just too good and made up for it. the ending wasn’t what i was expecting (which is good). theo porter, you are my favorite. i wish this was a series so i can stay in this world and with these characters. i give this 5 stars.

this book is so good i don’t even want to put it down. chapter nine was *chefs kiss*. i love the two main characters and i am also loving the concept of this mystery. i honestly have no clue how this is going to end (which is a good thing)

ok it did get a bit better but i fear it was a bit predictable. however i did still eat it up a bit. i got kind of bored between the 70%-80% mark but it was overall a good read. i loved the world and just the overall storyline so i will give this 3.75 stars. marissa meyer i will continue to eat up the books you write 🙏

oh my gosh i’m so mad (and not in a good way). i’m really hoping there’s a plot twist because #whatjusthappened

i’m loving this so far. the concept of this plot has been interesting and the writing isn’t too bad. at first the female main character was a bit annoying but now she’s grown on me and i love the other characters. i do have a few theories on how this will continue so im excited to see where this plot will go👀

so this book has definitely kept my interest the most throughout the story however the ending (aka finding out the murderer) was SO ANTICLIMACTIC. i’m so disappointed by that ending smh. anyways i would def say as the books go on the plots do get a bit better. i was going to give this 4.5 stars but im upset about the ending so i give it 4 stars.

i’m liking this storyline so far

not going to lie the last 75 pages were a bit underwhelming. however the epilogue did get me excited for the next book. overall i really enjoyed this world and storyline. the main female character did get on my nerves a bit but besides that she was fine. I’m sad I have to wait a couple months for the next book to come out but I would give this four stars.

i don’t know what i just read. i was so bored until the last 10% of the book, and even then the ending felt extremely rushed and not really cohesive. the plot was all over the place. in my opinion, the characters aren’t that interesting anymore. i’m more interested in the dragons + animals. the only reason i’m continuing this is because i want to know what happens with the magic part of this world. 1.5 stars

the writing style in this book makes my head hurt and i’m kind of bored

this book is genuinely fourth wing but on crack. the writing in this kills me. i probably cringed like 50 times. however, even though the writing was not great, im lowkey eating up the characters 😛. the ending actually made me physically cringe. theres one death in this book that actually makes me so sad it also makes me mad. even though this book was chaos, i fear i will be reading the next one. 3 stars.

this is my favorite read of 2026 so far. this ending almost made me want to throw the book across the room… but in a good way. the overall concept of this plot and how unique it is i think is why i love it so much. it was a bit slow at the beginning and at some points i also didn’t fully understand what was going on. however, i think the characters, the world, and the plot are enough reasons for 5 stars.

ONTO ACT THREE. stages 7, 9, and 10 of intermission were PEAK writing. 10/10. no notes. i’ve said this like three times already but this book is so good. i’m liking the main girl way more right now and this plot is getting #juicy.

INTERMISSION! i’m loving this world so far but this main girl is continuing to make me mad🫩also some of the concepts of the magic in this plot are a bit confusing and i’m like🫪

onto act II!! the world building and plot in this book is sooo interesting and unique so far. i def get the caraval vibes that others have mentioned. one thing tho is that the main girl is kind of #annoying at points but she’s been bearable so far.
