Considering making this book a DNF after a glaring historical error.

He quotes a 1762 statute issued by King George II as evidence of how corn was highly prized, with the apparent obliviousness to the reality that corn was a broader term for grain in Britain. When they talk about the repeal of the corn laws in Britain, the cost of wheat for bread was actually central to the debate. What else is he getting wrong?

Really struggling to get into this one. The esoteric focus on the profound symbolism of hoaxes is losing me and I can normally follow pretty dry writing. Trying to hang in there for the analysis that's more applicable to the modern day.

Having a hard time getting into that story because the chapters are too short. Every time I get into it, it jumps around.
