I don't think I'm smart enough to understand half the shit this guy says. But he has a really cool essay about David Lynch in this book. One of the quotes is brilliant (on violence and its purpose in films) "Quentin Tarantino is interested in watching somebody's ear getting cut off; David Lynch is interested in the ear."
