Was drawn to this because it's about a painter and is set on a fictional island next to Casey Key where I've spent time, evokes a bygone Florida. I am reading this book as an audible read by John Slattery who could read anything and I'd like his performance. Most of the horror is in the last 1/3 which was confusing. I will finish it but it hasn't made a King fan of me😉
