everyone everyone, i decided to officially come out as an amphigenic invert 😳

finished CC. Religion, the first two sections were the least interesting, and most unbearable, parts if the book for me. the third section, Revealed Religion, is how Hegel would put it, dope af. I have now experienced Christianity phenomenologically, now on to the last fifteen pages, possibly the hardest fifteen pages.

Spirit is done, the longest section in the book, and probably the best. Culture and its Realm of Actuality and The Beautiful Soul are among my favorite movements in the book. it also covers gender roles, Divine and State law, Faith and Enlightenment insight, the French Revolution (and implied genocide), and on and on. almost done with the book, less than a hundred pages 🙏

also the frustrating abstract void that is Observing Nature, and the previously mentioned sections in Actualizing Reason, which are the most difficult and occasionally impenetrable sections since way back in Force and the Understanding

Finished section AA. Reason, and was a wild ride. it had some brilliant moments such as consciousness ‘going mad’ in Frenzy of the Self Conceit, and the ‘all out war’ of Virtue and the Way of the World, both being both less exciting or more exciting than i make it sound. There was also the study and debunking of the very strange notion of Phrenology; a historically, sometimes racist, infamous pseudoscience.

finished B. Self-Consciousness!!! The Master/Slave dialectic and the Unhappy Conscience were by far the most exciting sections of the book i’ve read so far. Now to Reason, a section as long as the Preface, Introduction, part A and B combined oaurgekpsleihd

finished A. Consciousness. a couple months back, i broke my daily reading streak due to personal issues, but now i feel ever more ready to tackle this and am able to comprehend pages much easier, although Force and the Understanding was a bitch and i’m glad i’m past that infamous section.

after 30 days of read Phenomenology of Spirit everyday, i could proudly claim to having finished the preface. now onto the introduction…

i have finished the introduction, the first day hasn’t started and it’s already worse that the film. have mercy
