this is really quite nice, i miss midsummer when all i did was read

i'm interested but not yet sold. i've heard some glowing reviews about haber so im sticking with it and i am a sucker for a good stream of consciousness, but this narrator is somewhere between "white noise" -crazy and "antkind" -crazy, which is an uncomfortable grey area. i think generally i just struggle reading about contemporary issues and technology whatsoever

coworker told me he love cortazar and gave me whole list of recommendations im so hype

had a theory that if anyone was gonna sell me on flash fiction it would be cortázar. lo and behold...

"a yellow flower" and "letter to a young lady in paris" are my favorites from pt. 1 for sure

yap: the craft is fine, pleasant even, but i kind of can't get over the way she writes ab race. i think it's arguable that it's necessary to some degree to accurately portray the time period but it's just disinteresting to me. i kind of just can't enjoy anything strictly modernist or 'realistic' without some very intense emotional reckoning, or otherwise some kind of metaphorical post-modernism. wama!
