This book is so much more interesting than I expected. Prose is very witty and hilarious. Liking it so far!

The prose is incredibly well-written, almost poetic- the words are just beautiful. A beautiful mix of memoir and theology and very honest.

This book comments on how our medical system can focus on treating disease rather than treating a person and comments on elements of a fulfilling life. Every medical provider should read this. I find the history of modern medicine and care of the elderly very interesting and helpful. This book is comprised of mostly stories which are interesting and tell much in the process. Must read!

One of my annuals- content like this is very helpful to resist the negative consequences of our fast paced digital culture.

But this book is essentially a modernized summary of Dallas Willard’s work.

This book is truly revolutionary and so well written. Need to add this to my annual reads!

Re-reading this one. John Mark has no PhD, seminary degree, etc. but this is one of the most insightful reads on the freedom we have as Christians. Goes to show that having all the education in the world doesn’t mean we understand Christ. I will be rereading again in the future. Could be titled “the New Covenant.” I don’t have words… incredible! Plus, his music is amazing- go check it out!
