- the background information on King Leck (Immiker) was quite interesting
- he was kind of a brilliant,but mortifying child
- manipulated people his whole life long
- feels like he has no feelings
- don't like him/didn't like him in Graceling too
- the realization of Larch, Immiker's father, what his son's grace is and that he has been manipulated for years was heavy (not his 'dumbness', but his love for his son)

- the twist with Channari (Raikama) was extremely unexpected
- love the family bond
- a lot of things happened during the last few pages
- could have actually ended the story, but thrilled to read the second part

- pure romance between Takkan and Shiori
- absolutely love Megari, especially her cuteness
- still don't like Hasege
- interesting things about the stepmother (parallels to the mythology)
- i knew it! Zairena was not someone to be trusted even though she slightly changed for the better
- the murder though was unexpected
