What in the Christopher Columbus brainwashing fairytale garbage? sheesh…our MC is smart but dang the religious righteousness and delulu tendencies of colonialism have a strong hold over her. Literally living in a bubble of xenophobes and misogynists. I’m sure it’s all the point but so frustrating to read! Still a good book so far.

I have a feeling the corrupt, uber religious, and blatantly sexist world is really going to boil my blood throughout. It's been an enticing read so far...just worried about the rest of it now.

Gahh, this is just what I needed when I didn't know I needed it...pretty dang cute so far. Never seen the movie either. After reading so many messed up stressful stories lately, this charmingly zaps a lil mellow buzz into my anxious heart. :)
