Listening to the audiobook for this only for Freddy Carter’s voice. Shadow and Bone on Netflix got me obsessed with his character and then they cancel it and I’ll basically watch/ listen to anything he is in now.

Unfortunately this book just seems to….not be so good? And it’s a rather long one to not be! Will trek on for Freddy though it’s tough to pay attention to the girl’s chapters!

I really don’t get the appeal of this book. I just really want to get to LOTR since it’s supposed to be incredible or whatever. And they classify this one as juvenile fiction so maybe that’s why I’m put off? Like I am with the Harry Potter books too? Hopefully this time I’ll get through it!

I love the characters in this. I watched Shadow and Bone on Netflix and the Crows were by far the best part and I just wanted to keep living in this world.

Already loving this. I just love the way this guy writes

This is taking me a while; I keep putting it down. It just feels much slower paced than your average thriller. But there’s more here too. You’re really brought into the mind of the main detective and his friendship with his partner, which is delightful. Tana French is so hyped so I have a bunch of her books but I’m hoping this won’t be a let-down.

I’m this far into it and I still can’t tell how it’s gonna go…. I’m sort of losing steam though

OMG I am so annoyed I need things like sleep and a job and whatnot. So annoying! I just want to know what happens……

I’m really liking her story so far, she’s such a legend.

Wow, I’m really not liking this as much as I thought I would. But I do recommend it in the audiobook. It’s nice to be listening to his voice tell some stories while I’m cleaning up the kitchen.

This is already a fun read. I can’t wait to get further into this!

The last time I read this book was the only time I was able to get my space tidy. It’s such an enjoyable re-read too!

This is my first Kristin Hannah novel and I get the hype

OMG this book reads like a psychological thriller. I can’t put it down. You feel like you’re right there with her watching this train wreck unfold in real time. And I didn’t know of this family before this! Just a nice surprise from Libby’s “Recently Added” list. I guess “ nice” is a weird word to use in this situation considering the content…but you know what I mean.
