I like it a lot.

The author has done a good job of selling the ideas in this futuristic tale.

Multiple points of view are explored. 88 is recognisable, relatable and a great invention.

The agent in-charge is out of his depth and while he stumbles around you root for him but more for the mysterious 88, in my case anyway.

Reuben Eckhart is finished with A Wizard of Earthsea (Earthsea Cycle, #1)

DNF'd.

Personal view - I read over half of it, wondering when it was going to get going and it didn't. Published 1971 - so people have different ideas now. What I mean by that is that I found the language used was purposely written and punctuated to sound as if it was 'antique' or wise.

It was 4 books in one volume and cost me £10. A shame - but without taking a gamble, you get no pay-off either.
