Idk if it’s me or this book but it’s put me in a reading slump for like 2 months

This is a trashy thriller with government conspiracies that only enhance the trashiness I’m obsessed

Chess and troubled men so far

Slow but my hopes remain high

also the sprayed edges are iconic

All theban kings are so cursed and it’s exactly what they deserve

I think going from reading classics to reading something written in such a contemporary way is really not helping me enjoy this

This may be the tropiest book I’ve ever read

I’m not sure where there’s even a hint of feminism in this book

Really wanted to read this, but I’m not sure why every single event has to be super super convenient for the MC, and why she always seems to coincidentally do exactly what the plot needs… I feel like there’s no nuance to her character

Nvm this is better than I remember

The writing is awful but the plot sounds interesting so I’m sticking with it…
