I'll finish this before the year ends

Hard read for class, why is this book telling and not showing...as well there's not even an attempt to give Njinga a voice...kinda boring

I have been listening to the audible book, and I'm already like this more then "the Ballad of Songbirds."

I will finish this before summer ends.

I have read this before back in middle school, but I have forgotten a lot. So while doing my summer classes, I have been listening to the audible book, and so far so good. Love the politics in this world, and Jude as a spy. I also want to say that I don't like Carden, I remember in middle school reading him, thinking he was to mean to be redeemable as love interest. I fear my opinion hasn't changed.

Guys my goal for 2025 is to be more active on Goodreads, read around 100 books, and write reviews for all of them. Also I want to use my social media to talk about books. So we will see what happens.

Okay, so I have made a decision I am finishing this book today, I'm not a lazy bum!!!

Honestly, I love this book so much, it's so good and really opens one eye to how the world works and knowing that there are demonic influences reminds us Christians to stay vigilant.

When I was reading this, I just realized how similar it is to Narnia, in that 2 kids find a magical land, and I love this added layer of it being a fancy house serving as preserve for magical creatures. The relationship between brother and sister is SO REALISTIC.

I hate this book and I want to dnf it but I’m in too deep so with reluctance I will finish this abhorrent novel 😡

I’m taking a break plan to finish it by the end of the day, and I wanna say why did I begin to read this book. It’s twisted it’s a horror novel hiding in the form of a romance novel. Adeline is stupid, Zade is creepy as heck and everyone is some sort of crazy 😃

Gurl is dead, like this is a horror novel, and the main character is stupid enough to try to play mind games with a stalker/killer 🤦🏾‍♀️


Her great grandmother Gigi getting murdered was icing to the cake. From the letters it seemed she was romancing her stalker, and Addie has one and she ain’t running 🏃‍♀️ 💨

People call this a romance novel, people are crazy this is twilight in steroids 💀

I don’t like this main character she’s so spiteful 😒

It has such a big hype on TikTok so I thought I should read it, and I heard it has no smut. Great introduction to the romance genre 😃
