i’m only reading this for book club but tbh its just not my taste and i want to dnf!

Picked this book back up to clean out my currently reads. None of the characters are likeable.

time to grind for book club lol

i ran out of spotify audiobook hours for the month 😔

i didn’t expect to be so engaged in listening to this book? i’m still marinating on how i feel about the first book but i do think the sequel has better pacing & i like the different POVs per chapter.

a complaint for the first book was reading through the grammatical errors but i find that listening to audiobook seems to be a better experience

I really like Maria’s storyline—wanting selfhood & freedom beyond the constraints of her time/circumstances. idk if it’s personal preference but the alternating of POVs of differing timelines…i almost wish that each character had their storylines in separate parts unless there is a point to the switching timelines. i kind of wish the characters were actually connected somehow (?) my opinion could change l8r
