Mama Wu genuinely is a good woman because if I had to wait 4 summers for someone I believed loved me to divorce his wife and everytime he comes back he tries to set me up with some cousin id go insane

I finished “ A perfect Day for Bananafish” and naturally as i read through the rest of it i can’t seem to let that story go. It’s brutal the entire section is absolutely gut wrenching. Especially when Sybil is introduced the entire thing is stressful. Even now my heart aches for Seymour Glass.

I kind of feel bad for Bessie, she’s honestly trying to be a good mother but doesn’t know how and Zooey is so mean to her. I’m also saying this while also being terrified that something is going to come out about her being a horrible mother to Franny and Zooey

that took a turn there. I feel a real kinship to Frannys story.

Franny hates this man so much omg. His presence literally is making her sick
