This is such a slog. You have seven (?) POV characters to catch up with and then follow for the actual story in the 50s and the eighties. I’ve seen some mentions of IT having an “epic scope”, but it’s seven kids from the same town fighting the same clown. ASOIAF can get away with having so many POVs because the story spans an entire world, but IT simply cannot.
