Bro wtf this is not fun anymore

This book is SO FUN (apart from the exploitation, colonialism, racism and child abuse, lol). It’s like a more grown up and literary Harry Potter; I don’t think I’ve fallen in love with a fictional universe like this since middle school.

In honor of Cormac McCarthy, a genuine literary GIANT, i will be locking myself in my room and reading this book front to back without stopping. If I recommended a McCarthy book to you and you’re reading this, you have NO EXCUSE to put it off anymore; his books are so good that I’m literally tearing up at the death of an 89 year old author. Plz read blood meridian. Rest in peace my king.

For most of the novel it’s definitely the weakest of the Border Trilogy, but damn the epilogue hit me like a truck and almost convinced me to give this five stars regardless.
