I mean it’s a good book. But I feel like she keeps talking about other topics that aren’t relevant to the chapter in a chapter… even tho there is literally a whole chapter following dedicated to that topic. I thought the data would be somewhat unpacked but it’s more putting the data in front of my face and stating what’s already blatantly obvious …

more people should be speaking about this version… like why is the other version widespread (well the answer is bc of beliefs and values at the time which made her rewrite it bc of the backlash) BUT point is can we please talk about the original 1818 text more

Hopefully this book will not only destroy me and traumatise me but also get me out of said reading slump

I thought Autumn’s book was tragic but I cried through a whole chapter so I guess this is even more tragic

People don’t understand how emotionally deep and even thematically deep these books are

So what I’ve gathered is that half of this book is so random and the other half is rlly deep and interesting

The reviews for this book are VERY mixed but so far it’s good and theres SO MUCH to unpack

This def is a complex transformation of The Wizard of Oz and the Wicked musical and movie are def ADAPTATIONS of this book……..

This book is INSANE! The connections to the other books are crazy and the plot and characterisation - just everything about it is crazy

So this book is insane!!!! The plot is insane, the characterisation is insane but the connections to the other books is the most insane!
