The Beast is way cooler than the version in the show, oh my goodness! And Quentin's friend group feels so much less contrived than in the show as well. Finding the book overall pleasantly less generic. Quentin is still annoying, but that gives him tons of room to grow and be less annoying later :)

It's testing my patience, have put it down several times due to the rampant misogyny. It's a shame, there are so many good ideas and the author's...idk what to call it...world view? Pretty much ruins the otherwise compelling story.
