This turn towards the end disavowing countries like China as “not REALLY socialist” was inevitable but disappointing. Still keeping an open mind, but my suspicion that the only anti capitalist + explicitly Marxist books that are published in the US are those that include condemnations of the US’ historical, political, and economic enemies has only been strengthened.

Finally, I have returned to the point in the story whereupon reaching I had to put the book down. It’s a little hard to describe why I did so. Regardless this book deserves all the praise, I know this I’m going to give this a 5/5 and I’m not even done.
