Honestly, I have a life to live and it's a very busy one. Spending every free second on this book - well. What can I say. What a roller coaster ride!

This book and this narrator are just wonderful. Taking it slow and savoring it.

Loving it! Wish I had more time to read. Also wish this author had more books in this vein to look forward to!

Unfortunately, the narrator's voice (on Audible) has only two tones, which could be tiring for some listeners.

It's a great book so far - really enjoying this one! Wish I had more time to read because I'd read this one in one go.

I was told by my daughter that the book is good and I should plow through, no matter how queasy the thing makes me.

Listening to this on Audible, I am grateful that the narrator is so good - the book rambles and goes off in lots of different directions, in minute detail, and the 'murder' has less punch than the behavior of Claire's dog. But the narrator makes it work - I don't know how.
However, my mind can wander off and I find haven't missed a thing. It's a 'cozy' mystery but they usually are a tad more exciting than this...

This is going very slowly.... but my daughter has encouraged me to finish it, so I won't DNF.

I saw a trailer of the movie today and actually think that might be better for me than the book. Also could be because I'm listening to it rather than reading it, but the narrator is really good...so. It's a strange kind of downer... let's see if I make it through.

Listening to this book and it's my first whole book in German. It's sweet, cute, exactly what is promised when advertised as "cozy".

I'm listening to this on Audible. It's strange and like nothing I've read before, but it also isn't a book that makes me feel very good. I wanted to read it before I see the movie.

I would probably give up, but the narrator is fantastic, and it's a little like watching a movie in my head when I'm listening to him.

Stopped this one for the moment because it's definitely not a book you want to read (or listen to) whilst multi-tasking. Also, I want to ONLY read this book and concentrate on it fully - most of the time I read a few at once according to my mood.

Lots of inconsequential rambling that brings neither the story nor the characters further along. I question why they go off on tangents of dialogue when there is enough happening around them. I want to say, 'Focus people!'
In other words, I could skip pages at a time and not lose the thread. I hope the ending is so 'wow' that I move on to the third book, but at this rate it's doubtful.

Started out in typical Holleran fashion, but I'm now at chapter 6 and it's been getting steadily more depressing with every listen. I knew this was going to be about aging and the loneliness that comes with it, and it's true to form, but, well, not much happens. It's more a reflection, a long essay, than a story (so far).

I love this trilogy. I bounce around with my reading but never forget exactly where I am in the book, which I can't say about some of the other books I read. Not that bouncing around is a good thing, but I'm usually in one mood or another and unless a book is super absorbing, I bounce.

Oh boy. Well, I had a look at this book yesterday morning and haven't been able to stop reading it. I'm completely absorbed. I would understand if it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it is definitely mine.

This is a wonderful book on Audible and the only problem for me is that it rips my heart out to see what's happening to our planet. After listening to it awhile, I have to take a long pause and build myself up again. The author has done something very rare, painting a vivid picture of the earth in all its beauty while at the same time mincing no words at how that picture is fast fading.
