Who on this godforsaken planet OK'd the narrator doing THAT voice. I get consistency across books, but even when he was a side character it was unbearable. And they expect us to sit through a whole book of that horrendous nasal inappropriate voice? Hard DNF for a story i really wanted to read. At least the audiobook version. Seriously wtf

So I've apparently read this before, but I'm listening to the audiobook now. And GD is this thing stressful. Huxley is just an asshole to an abusive point, no redeemable qualities, and while I get there's supposedly attraction, I don't get why this is a story. Hes blackmailed and cornered her into doing this, goes out of his way to be an ass, and yet everyone treats Lotte as if she's the one in the wrong....

We get it her ex cheated on her, how many times do we have to relive it. Otherwise I'm digging the mystery magical forest

If anyone was curious, it did pass the A03 test. It's 230am snd my phone os a out to die and my eyesight is going, and I'm still desperate to keep reading. This had me.hooked from the first page.

The true test of a book is...can it pass the Ao3 challenge? Aka will it keep me up all night, when I start reading it at 11pm after a long ass exhausting day? Will it be intriguing enough for me to pick it back up tomorrow if I fall asleep? Or will I unintentionally DNF it cause it lost my interest and I can't be bothered in the new day?

You cannfeel her nervous energy radiating off the page... and I'm pretty sure we're supposed to care about her and Leif, but I'm only focused on the drama with Maisie and Gio. They already had they're HEA, what do you mean things are tense? What do you mean?!?!

This is so much darker than I thought it was gonna be based on the Noir Moon novella prequel. But I can't stop reading it. It reminds me a lots of the LORDS series, but I much prefer this, and little bit of Hunting Adeline too.
I've only read her Crimson Ridge books so far and her novellas, so I wasn't expecting this, but its done really well so far.

This is why I've avoided the marriage in crisis trope up to this point. Its so saddled. What if this is me down the line?
