Reading this for a class, but the way this book is written is so well done. Also, it is getting into unexplored dynamics of slavery is extremely fascinating. I cannot wait to actually dedicate time to this on the weekends.

I feel that with sci-fi and fantasy books, you gotta get past the first 100 pages to get to goo stuff. And the rebels trying to recruit Jaden is a fascinating plot twist.

The first half of this book was so freaking slow. However, in the second part, we got a Monk wanting to sexually assault people and is willing to make a deal with a whole demon to get away with ruining a young girl. But, that’s not even the craziest part of this book. This storyline is intriguing that I want to skip over boring ass Nun subplot.
