But hot damn does he do the trope justice. It’s not about him doing anything new, just doing it better.

Yo, if he had the “Sons of Ares” thing planned out, with Ares being the Son of Ares, then kudos for him for stringing this along for three books. If he came up with it afterwards… Kudos to him for leaning into a good twist.

Every year it seems good reads has a challenge and this guys name is on it, and every year I give it a try. My absolute favorite Horror author gives this writer praise and praise. And most of the time I felt… eh.

Giving this a try because it’s on a challenge list and I don’t think he’s a bad writer, just maybe not my cup of tea. One last try.

Definitely a cool world with amazing magic… but man these Characters are bland and the Mary sue situations are making me want to dnf.

Love the story telling, not entirely sure about the story.

Was supposed to be buddy reading this but got way ahead…

Having known absolutely nothing going in, just agreed to read as a buddy read, this story is so intriguing!

It’s hard not read ahead because the mystery is just so alluring.

Absolutely loving Carrot, and the plot line of Dragons. A much better start then Color of Magic was.

Second attempt at Terry Pratchett book. Liking it so far.

Cool magic, and cool world. Characters feel like copy and pasted New Adult cast members. It’s like the parts I liked in the beginning around the application of what they do is becoming fewer with each chapter.
