Now I’m onto this weird section, “Buttercups Baby.” I wonder if he really knows Steven King (feel like they have to be friends). And I don’t know what is fiction and what’s real (but I’m assuming most is fiction)

Very solid. Never fully learned the different parts of the brain until now.

A few points to remember:
1) In psychiatric care there is too much focus on managing symptoms rather than understanding the cause of suffering.
2) There are limitations to therapy. The threat-perception system of the brain cannot be healed through talking
3) Healing from trauma involves mastery over physical sensations and emotions

“Terrorism” may have been the best essay yet. “War” was interesting but so much has changed since 2018.

This book forces me to think deeply. I like it
