God I love these books so much

we go. I’ve been highlighting like a mf.

You see I love this for many reasons but one of the big ones is accurate depictions of battles and war. And it’s not even that it’s choreographically pleasing not at all it’s because it’s messy and realistic. It’s scary and there’s mud in your mouth and you don’t know if who you’re shooting is friend or foe. It’s something I think a lot of dark wartime writing and fanfics usually miss.

I read this a while ago and for some reason stopped at sixty percent. I remember loving it so I’m starting over <3
