It's not bad, the premise is promising, but it feels kinda flat now especially when you start thinking about Asher's character, he knows he's in a game (how?) He is obsessed with levi which I get he's the mc but he's still helping him even though beating the game might mean Levi will be out of his "life." I am kind of confused about the direction this is going and wish I could see more about his character.

Read upto to chapter nine, and the photography being a translation is so true, because it does capture something, but can it truly ever capture the true essence of what we see and what we feel by seeing it?

I don't like Letty.

Rami is not only Bengali but Muslim too? I wish I could hug the author rn, seeing him in this book, I don't think I can make anyone understand how much this means to me.

There's a character from Calcutta!!!!! Bengali character YIPEEEE

I am on chapter three now, our boy Robin is on his way to Oxford, and I wish to comment that I love how R.F. Kuang's book has a beginning, it doesn't feel like the story starts from a middle, it feels like we're reading the characters' life from the beginning and following the path and reach the destination and read their fate in the end. It's something very admirable.

"They see too much of themselves in their situation, it puts ideas in their heads" — what if I smash your head with a hammer!

Tf is the distinction between lunch, luncheon and noon dinner!? Chat, what is this? 😭

Robin Swift? Give me his real name, please, please, he deserves his own identity! One that was given by his mom, his culture and heritage!

Started this yesterday, and so far it's so good! I missed the duo !!

such an uncomfortable, icky read. I have read a shit ton of dark stuff before but this is hitting me in a spot I don't think any other dark read ever could. Probably cause the age I am reading this book is the same age when Vanessa started getting groomed, and it's horrible, it's disgusting. But I can't stop reading, it's equally interesting as well, oof can't wait to reach the end of this book

So far, so good, though I would love to know more about Rhodes, and about Kayden and Auroras' past relationships, I'm really curious about it lol, but this will be one of the slower reads tho!

Someone help, I really really wanna read this, but the motivation isn't there, and I don't really wanna force myself to continue, should I just wait until I have the motivation back or just drop the book??
