I am on chapter three now, our boy Robin is on his way to Oxford, and I wish to comment that I love how R.F. Kuang's book has a beginning, it doesn't feel like the story starts from a middle, it feels like we're reading the characters' life from the beginning and following the path and reach the destination and read their fate in the end. It's something very admirable.

such an uncomfortable, icky read. I have read a shit ton of dark stuff before but this is hitting me in a spot I don't think any other dark read ever could. Probably cause the age I am reading this book is the same age when Vanessa started getting groomed, and it's horrible, it's disgusting. But I can't stop reading, it's equally interesting as well, oof can't wait to reach the end of this book

So far, so good, though I would love to know more about Rhodes, and about Kayden and Auroras' past relationships, I'm really curious about it lol, but this will be one of the slower reads tho!

Someone help, I really really wanna read this, but the motivation isn't there, and I don't really wanna force myself to continue, should I just wait until I have the motivation back or just drop the book??
