the world building, the character building, the binding together different aspects of the story, the dialogue, the writing, i camt seem to find a single thing wrong with this book.
this book made me care enough for a character that i cried when they died in the first 20% of the book .

not the best start but I'll keep going.
PS i am reading this book in greek and i haven't actually read anything in my mother language in so long it feels weird and tiring to actually do so. also, translations are a weird thing man. half of the book's beauty gets lost...

nope. I'm dnfing

the book had my 100% attention from the second page. literally. this is the first time something like that happens.
ALSO i love how every chapter has some sort of reference to Greece. it feels nice to be represented. what i don't like is the constant assuming of straightness and the total lack of lgbtq+ representation.

maybe i am slightly positively preoccupied from the heartstopper books. idk. we'll see...

ashley herring blake is good man. she's good. writing style is on point and characters are nicely outlined. i wonder how astrid id going to find out about her querness. that full on gay crisis (as nick very correctly put it) is going to be one hell of a ride to read.
ALSO i love the relatability in mother-daughter relationship between Astrid and Isabel.

i mean i guess it's fine. so far not so good. writing style is meh. characters are meh. nothing gripping so far. but let's see how it develops...

it just keeps on getting better and better! oh and the smut is smuting. mhm. now let's see where it'll go. also there isn't a huge miscommunication trope, where they're both too awkward to talk about how they feel. it's still there, but it could be wayyy more. unfortunately, im seeing a big fight and break up in the horizon.
ALSO omg Delilah loving Claire even though her body is normal is solving my body dysmorphia.

the writing style continues to keep me gripped, while the characters are getting progressively more interesting. i feel a huge realization dawning on Delilah's horizon, regarding Astrid and her psychological response to her mother's tight grip. i also adore the realtionships that are being formed between the three girls as they spend more quality time with each other. plus: one bed trope AHHHH

a solid start. good writing style, interesting backstories of the characters, promising plot.

this book is so toxic, so poorly written, so unhealthy.... it takes soo so much effort on my part to not dnf INSTANTLY
