Probably going to DNF this book and look for a summary.

I already am not too crazy about Titan warfare and the stories about the Perpetuals with John Grammaticus already wore out their welcome when they were first introduced in Legion. I genuinely hope this is the last story like this because this is such a dampener to the overall Siege of Terra series and doesn't feel like it advances the story.

odds i DNF because Titan warfare is just boring grimdark Power Rangers zoids 🤔

i think this might be my favorite story in the Siege of Terra so far. FINALLY one of the BL authors presents a POV from a non-Space Marine that honestly feels right (i think Joseph Bakko Monday and his group specifically.)

Best moment by far has been the batshit crazy, single World Eater that took on three Imperial Fists with his brains blown out and was impaled through the chest but still went for that 1v3.

Such a significant difference between this book and The Solar War. Abaddon putting Daemon Primarch Angron on mute during the meeting of the Heretic Legions will never not be the funniest shit to have ever occurred in a Warhammer novel.

kind of a boring book ngl. has had some decent moments such as giving Sigismund and Abaddon a little focus but otherwise I feel like I can’t really grasp most of the story. There is what feels like a lot of focus on Mersadie Oliton which I couldn’t care less about because Remembrancers are soooo uninteresting.

The Night Lords Trilogy: *existing*

conceptually this book is pretty cool. i’m really liking the different take it has on a vampire story especially with it from the POV of an American Indian and the relevant cultural aspects.

However, at this point, I don’t think I can tolerate hearing the rationale and newfound discovery of the vampire’s pov for much longer before I dnf because it’s really starting to get old.

Jezal gets some free dental work done and now resembles Glokta

Glokta really out here getting to the bottom of some hard hitting questions… such as “why do Men have nipples?”

Thus far this book really feels like the last few hours of Halo: Reach. Some type of big battle is building up and I have a feeling the conclusion will be something bittersweet, especially for a book focused on the Night Lords legion.

i really can’t comprehend why so many authors in the black library write stories that seemingly focus on a specific legion, only to then focus on a dissimilar side-narrative about some random ass character from an irrelevant legion.

it’s like having a mystery story about a detective on a case, only to have it occasionally focus on the POV of a Security Guard just because they also happen to have a badge…
