This is a STRUGGLE to get through! The long chapters are rough but the context is soooooo slow. I’m determined to finish but this has been a process.
A flash back between grandmother and granddaughter and their lives as young women. The grandma has a child out of wedlock in Egypt and the granddaughter has a son in highschool with a want to be musician who eventually makes it big. He’s also unaware of his son.
